Originally opened in 1949, this is a theme park with history. It has become one of the UK’s most popular theme parks and covers around 280 acres of land in Tamworth, Staffordshire. The park constantly evolves to bring new rides and attractions to visitors – just one of many reasons it’s a much-loved venue.
From March until November the park is open and it hosts a firework display towards the end of the season. Currently, the park is home to Thomas Land with exhibitions and rides all dedicated to the famous engine.
Attractions
There is so much on offer at Drayton Manor with a whole host of roller coaster rides including Apocalypse, Maelstrom and the Air Race ride. If you need something a little less intense then there are plenty of water rides and standard rides suitable for families.
If rides don’t get you excited then you might be interested in the Drayton Manor Zoo which has animals from all over the world in 15 acres of open land. There is also a 4D Cinema a Dino trail and the Drayton Manor Hotel, all of which ensures you’ll never be lost for things to do. Check out the fantastic attractions.

Transport
Drayton Manor is easily accessible via car and has specific Arriva bus links. Tamworth is the nearest train station and is around three miles away.
