Halloween can transport us to an imaginary world, where some of our favourite worst nightmares come to life before us, in the form of ghosts, ghouls, witches and zombies!
But how you choose to celebrate Halloween will depend on your family size, interests, and age. With that in mind we’ve put together a list of all the best, Halloween events for 2021 across the UK. From pumpkin picking to scare mazes and terror towns in theme parks, family parks, animal parks, farms, and zoos, it’s all here so your family can pick the perfect Halloween!

Discover a land of spooktacular family fun during the Halloween Half term (9th Oct – 31st Oct). Everyone attending Flamingo Land wearing Halloween fancy dress will be eligible to enter the fiendish fancy dress competition, where you can win a family day pass!
Why not set out on a real adventure, the ‘trick or treat trail,’ where you will receive a Halloween bag and map, which will direct you to 5 locations around the park. At each location you will receive a treat to pop in your bag and a sticker for your map.

Lives shows that are hosted daily over the autumn period, such as the Sea lion show, the Bird show, Pirates of Zanzibar! All fantastic for the entire family!
At Gulliver’s fright fiesta, you’ll come face to face with ghosts and ghouls in the ultimate 9-day Halloween experience. Showcase your fancy dress costume at Gulliver’s spine-tingling street parade or delve deep into the theme park and discover it’s most mysterious and spooktacular rides. All perfectly fit for young families.
More events: Don’t miss the UKs only Grandparent’s weekend, in which 2 GRANDPARENTS GET FREE ENTRY on 2nd – 3rd October. You can also see the Fireworks Spectacular on 6th November.
Gulliver’s theme parks are nationwide at Warrington, Matlock Bath, Milton Keynes and Rother Valley.
From 8th to 31st Oct Blackpool Pleasure Beach transforms into a land of the living dead. And from the 14th, be prepared to be terrified by the 8.5-foot-tall Werewolf roaming the park! You can also try your hand at pumpkin carving with the little ones or enjoy a live Halloween show every Saturday.
For a totally different theme park experience, stay and enjoy the rides at night and marvel at Blackpool Illuminations as they glow on the dark 30th Oct.
You can still do all the usual stuff like challenge your teens to twist and loop on ‘Infusion’ or to brace themselves for the big drop on The Big One! Whilst little kids can enjoy a day at Nickelodeon Land with 12 rides just for them, plus the chance to meet stars from their favourite TV shows.
At ‘More Trick than Treat’ you’ll be surrounded by hay bales and pumpkins aplenty, as you enjoy over 100 rides & attractions - including Thomas Land, Adventure Cove, our 15-acre zoo, live entertainment and much more! Step into Thomas Land and experience all the spooks and thrills with your little ones and make it a happy Halloween with all the magical Island of Sodor Island has to offer.

Older families will be able to enjoy the brand-new Trick o’ Treat Town, an interactive walkthrough a special town where every day is Halloween and as well as treats, there are tricks aplenty! Buckle up for the thrills as Oakwood are really getting ready to haunt you this Halloween with 4 chilling horror mazes! Alone, Dismantled, Teddy Bear Picnic & Witch Hunt! Will you venture into the darkness alone?
You also need to be prepared to be chased and terrified by their very own dedicated ‘Scare Squad.’
If that all sounds too creepy, little ones have their own excitement in Neverland where there are rides for all ages.
Brace yourself as FRIGHT NIGHTS pray on your darkest fears for another terrifying season. Taking over this autumn, prepare to be scared senseless as you ride thrilling coasters in the dead of night, get your HEART RACING as you venture through SPINE-CHILLING scare zones.
Not to miss are the infamous Night Rides - where rollercoasters light up in the dark and provide a supercharged spooky experience! Be sure to brace yourself as the UK’s premier award-winning Halloween event returns this autumn for a FEARFUL celebration.

This October half term Lord Vampyre invites all little monsters and their families to the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort for Halloween!
There’s many fun Halloween activities for you to dig your fangs into; including Lord Vampyre's very own Haunted House Monster Party Ride and NEW for 2021 Harbour Show, Lord Vampyre’s Creepy Crypt Trail, Monster Rocker’s fang-tastic Pumpkin Trail, costume competitions and so much more – plus all of the usual rides including the brand-new land LEGO MYTHICA: World of Mythical Creatures, live shows and attractions.
Children under 90 CM’s visit the park free. ‘Reserve & Ride’ is available at extra cost.

From 23rd – 31st October there’s plenty of thrilling adventures to be had. Families can take to the cruel cobbled streets of Flambards’ Victorian Village and hunt high and low through the 50 different sets and scenes to complete the spooky pumpkin trail quiz. Successfully completed trails can be exchanged for wickedly wonderful treats!
Budding detectives can also have a go at completing the Who Dunnit Mystery Trail to discover which of the village’s colourful cast of characters committed the crime.
It’s already been a strange year, but things are about to get stranger at Camel Creek as they prepare for the Half Term with many Spooktacular attractions. Be sure not to miss ‘Halloweek’ if you are looking for plenty of thrills and scares.
For rainy days there’s Creeky’s indoor playhouse and a 5D Simulator Theatre. Don’t forget to say hello to the Swampy and Dina characters in the park!

Thornton Hall Country Park will be decorated in spooky Halloween theming and there will be Halloween activities throughout the day. Mini Farmers is aimed more at preschool children as this is during term time.
Spooky fields will be running on weekends and during the half term. The farm promises to be jam-packed with ghostly fun and a spooktaztic family Halloween show, along with a Ghostbuster Academy and more! Pumpkin picking tickets are additional in both events and can be purchased online during the checkout process.
Spooky Spectacular at West Midlands Safari Park we will be brimming with Halloween decorations and hundreds of pumpkins, you’ll also get to meet the new pumpkin scarecrow character, ‘Patch’, and see his live Pumpkin Party stage show.
Spooky Explorers can also take part in the ‘Perils of the Pumpkin Patch’ Scratchcard Trail, to find the magical, missing pumpkins! Lantern Festival - 22nd Oct – 5th Dec - Be transported to a wonderland of lanterns and interactive lighting displays with over forty light groupings, and up to 1000 individual lanterns! With magical lit-up landscapes, dinosaur lanterns, a giant interactive piano keyboard, rainbow tunnel and many other creations, the 3km trail has been designed to offers plenty of fun all round!
This Halloween, Edinburgh Zoo is opening its park under the moonlight to invite you on a family friendly spooktacular trail through the zoo.
On selected dates from Friday 8 until Sunday 31 Oct, they are celebrating all things Halloween for the first time with a magical illuminated trail in the dark.
Listen out for rustling amongst the trees and peeping eyes as you make your way through the park in the dark, meeting lots of different characters on the way. From witches and wizards to scarecrows and spiders!
Drusilla’s Park have gone ALL OUT SPOOKS this year, so prepare to immerse yourself in a truly terroriffic Halloween atmosphere! The whole Park will be draped in pumpkins, skeletons, spiders and more.
Venture through the creepy cobwebbed corridors of Haunted Heights, a live action haunted house experience. What about a bit of Mummy Mayhem? a twisted terror maze full of dead ends and beings!
Get into character with frightening tattoos and freaky face painting at the Petrifying Parlour or scuttle along to the Discovery Centre for some creepy crawly encounters with, millipedes, mealworms and even an Asian forest scorpion!
Drusilla’s is also hosting a fancy-dress competition for the best dressed during Shriek Week, with the chance to win a family ticket for four!
The Halloween Hoot is perfect for all your little preschool monsters, they can get crafty and create a ghost, draw a pumpkin or make a skeleton. For your older monsters, they can take a scary trip on the Ghost ride, Arachnophobia ride and the Lakeside Ghost Train that’ll make them scream with fun!
Get ready to show off your ghoulish moves at the daily Monster Disco! (Over 4’s only) in your best Halloween fancy dress. There are daily prizes to be won and a ghoulish parade every evening. Create a masterpiece and carve a pumpkin you can take home with you! There’s free face painting so everyone can dress up…even mum!
