Keeper experiences
Aimed at people of all ages, keeper experiences let you enjoy a day in the life of the park's zookeepers, get close to the animals, and learn all there is to know about day-to-day life at the park. You will even get to feed and clean the animals as you learn more about their feeding preference and natural habitats. Keeper experiences are available for mini-keepers (5 to eight years old), junior keepers (from nine to 17 years old), and adults 18 or older.
Armadillo experience
The exciting armadillo experience consists of a 30-minute dive into the world of the six-banded armadillo Peludo. Aimed at kids 5 and older, this is a great opportunity to learn about armadillos, prepare their food with the park’s knowledgeable staff, and even get to pet them!

Battersea Zoo offers amazing playgrounds with attractions such as life-sized tractors and mechanical rides. They also offer crafting spaces, sandpits, and water pumps. Are there any indoor activities when raining?
Yes. There are stables and education/event cabins in which you can enjoy indoor activities in case of rain.
When is the best time to visit?
Battersea Zoo is open from 10 to 5 during the spring and summer, and from 10 to 4:30 (or dusk) during autumn and winter. The only days in which the zoo closes its doors are December 25th and 26th.
What should you take with you and why?
As Battersea Zoo has a lot of facilities, you do not need to take a lot of items with you. However, flat, sensible footwear is advised as is sun protection such as hats and sunscreen on warmer days is recommended.
