The Fred Dibnah Heritage Centre provide superb entertaining and informative  guided tours of the home and workyard of Dr Fred Dibnah who was voted Greatest lancastrian of the Century for many years running. His work yard and sheds are living examples of the amazing machinery used in the industrial revolution, there is a 50ft chimney in the garden and a working mine shaft.
