Newbury is to get its very own taste of Italy as the fastest growing casual dining brand, Bella Italia, is now open on Market Place.
The £530,000 investment in the brand new restaurant will create 20 new jobs, and promises authentic Italian dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.
Bella Italia is passionate about bringing a genuine taste of Italy to its customers, with many ingredients sourced from family run businesses across Italy which have been produced the same way for generations. From the oldest pasta maker in Italy ‘Agnesi’ to the Northern style cured and baked meats from the ‘Fontana’ family to the Southern style cured meats and salami from ‘San Vincenzo’, which bring that true Italian flavor. Leaving room for dessert is vital - Bella’s Gelato Cart, now a regular feature in their new restaurants, is sure to inspire creative picking while selecting from 11 flavours of real Italian Ice cream available to try and of course the array of toppings to add too! The selection of Prosecco and cocktails is sure to make a perfect addition to the night out with the girls or that special date night.
Their new menu is better than ever, and some of the hero dishes include a richer and
creamier Carbonara made with fresh tagliatelle, topped with leeks and crispy pancetta, a
home-made Lasagne, made fresh in-house every day, and new Roma pizzas: inspired by
Roman pizzas, these are made with a touch of sourdough and are hand stretched further for
a thinner and crispier base.
Newbury’s very own Bella Italia will be situated on the Market Place in the Grade II listed
building, with seating for up to 120 diners. This will include a lovely al fresco dining area
overlooking the canal – the perfect spot for watching the boats pass by! Expect to see
beautiful Italian artwork, quirky seating – perfect for romantic dinners and cosy family gettogethers,
or cocktails with the girls.
The restaurant’s General Manager Panagiotis Tiligadas said, “The team at Bella Newbury
can’t wait to welcome locals to join us for the finest pleasure of all – Italian food in great
company and here at Bella we ensure customers get the true Italian dining experience in a
fun and vibrant environment. We’re also delighted to announce that we’ll be fundraising for
national children’s charity Dreams Come True throughout our opening, raising money to
grant wishes to seriously ill children.”
